Most business people having read that headline with the word gambling in would run a mile, but strangley thats how many of them are running their business, just like a gambler.
However, there is a BIG difference between a gambler of habit and a professional gambler. The big difference is professional gamblers emply a system that they will evolve and follow themselves that enables them to stack the odds in their favour and come out on top. A gambler of habit wil not have the self discipline nor will they see their mistakes as their own just bad luck or superstision and will end up following the crowd which enevitably ends in ruin.
Thats why 95% of the wealth in the world is controlled by 5% of the people. Those 5% have the self discipline and the systems to make it happen and are prepared to take responsibility themselves and to move away from the herd.
Most of the professional gamblers I know are very wealthy, exhibit masses of self control and discipline and are constantly working on their system and themselves, not following others, which strangley most business people do not.
So ask your self honetly (which most gamblers cannot do) are you a gambler of habit or a professional gambler. if you don’t have a system, are not self disciplined enough to follow it and develop it and prepared to stop following the crowd then your business might be on the verge of becoming a gambler of habit which is a slippery road indeed.
